ΑΝΑΚΟΙΝΩΣΗ: ΧΕΙΡΟΤΟΝΙΑ ΤΟΥ ΘΕΟΦΙΛΕΣΤΑΤΟΥ ΒΕΝΕΔΙΚΤΟΥ ΕΜΨΗΦΙΣΜΕΝΟΥ ΕΠΙΣΚΟΠΟΥ ΑΣΤΟΡΙΑΣ

Στίς 15/28 Φεβρουαρίου, ἡ Ἱερά Σύνοδος ἐξέλεξε νέο Βοηθό Ἐπίσκοπο γιά τήν Ἱερά Μητρόπολη Ἀμερικῆς. Ὁ Θεοφιλέστατος Βενέδικτος, ἐμψηφισμένος Ἐπίσκοπος Ἀστορίας, ἐξελέγη νά ἀνέλθη στόν ἀνώτατο βαθμό τῆς Ἀρχιερωσύνης. Ὁ Θεοφιλέστατος θά χειροτονηθῆ στίς 1/14 Μαρτίου 2024 ἀπό τόν Μακαριώτατο Ἀρχιεπίσκοπο Ἀθηνῶν κ. κ. Καλλίνικο καί τούς Ἀγίους Ἀρχιερεῖς τῆς Ἐκκλησίας μας στήν Ἱερά Μονή τῶν Ταξιαρχῶν στά Ἀθίκια Κορινθίας, ἐκεῖ ὅπου ἔγιναν καί οἱ χειροτονίες τοῦ Σεβασμιωτάτου πρώην Ἀμερικῆς Παύλου καί τοῦ Θεοφιλεστάτου Πελαγονίας Μαξίμου. Ἡ χειροτονία τελεῖται δεόντως στήν Ἑλλάδα, ὥστε νά γνωρίση ὁ Θεοφιλέστατος ἀπό κοντά τούς ἐν Ἑλλάδι Ἁγίους Ἀρχιερεῖς. Ὁ ἐμψηφισμένος Ἐπίσκοπος Ἀστορίας Βενέδικτος θά ὑπηρετήση σέ ὅλη τήν Ἱερά Μητρόπολη ὡς βοηθός τοῦ Σεβασμιωτάτου Μητροπολίτου Ἀμερικῆς κ. Δημητρίου. Καλοῦμε τούς πιστούς νά προσευχηθοῦν γιά τόν Θεοφιλέστατο Βενέδικτο.

Ενημέρωση: Η χειροτονία του Επισκόπου Βενέδικτου μεταφέρθηκε 2 ημέρες αργότερα για την Πέμπτη 1/14 Μαρτίου 2024.
