As every year, His Eminence Metropolitan of America PAVLOS with His Grace Bishop CHRISTODOULOS of Theoupolis presided over the Great Litany of the Epitaphios of our Lord Jesus Christ in the streets of Astoria, New York.
His Eminence, addressed the crowd after the prayers saying, "May God grant many years to all participating in this holy litany of the Epitaphios of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Light of the world and the Hope of humanity and that He bestow on us the gift of Christian Love. I invite you all to continue to the celebration of the Ressurection of the Lord. Kalo Pascha!"
Iftar, refers to the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan. Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often done as a community, with people gathering to break their fast together. Iftar is done right after sunset.

Q. I noticed that we call the angels Michael and Gabriel "Saint." I thought the title "Saint" was only given to humans who have proven themselves Godly. Do you mind clarifying this for me? Is there a deeper meaning to "Saint" that I am not aware of?
