The Holy Metropolis GOC of America is pleased to release its redesigned site. The template was completely redesigned and the database was moved to a better and more high-powered server. In addition, we are scanning through all of the articles that had suffered character corruption (the presence of squares and question marks, especially in the Greek articles) during a previous database restoration, in order to correct them.
The sermons will be restored in the coming days, and the Photo gallery is being completely redone. We did not, however, wish to delay the release of the site further, so please pardon the inconvenience.

Iftar, refers to the evening meal when Muslims break their fast during the Islamic month of Ramadan. Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often done as a community, with people gathering to break their fast together. Iftar is done right after sunset.

Read more...Q. I noticed that we call the angels Michael and Gabriel "Saint." I thought the title "Saint" was only given to humans who have proven themselves Godly. Do you mind clarifying this for me? Is there a deeper meaning to "Saint" that I am not aware of?
