Metropolitan Pavlos concludes 6-week trip to Greece

On Sep. 5/18, 2005 His Eminence Metropolitan Pavlos departed fron New York's JFK airport for a 6-week visit to Greece in order to take part in the Feast Day of the monastery of His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos, the first Synod meeting of the new ecclesiastical year, the 50 year Memorial Service for Metropolitan Chrysostomos (Kavouridis) and the commemoration of the 100th year since the blessed repose of the Righteous Pachomios (the Elder of St. Nectarios of Aegina). His Eminence returned to America on Monday Oct. 17/31.

Why do we Call Angels “Saint”?

Q. I noticed that we call the angels Michael and Gabriel "Saint." I thought the title "Saint" was only given to humans who have proven themselves Godly. Do you mind clarifying this for me? Is there a deeper meaning to "Saint" that I am not aware of?
